Meet the Team

I’m Emma, and as well as being passionate about education, I love being outdoors, in nature with the people most important to me.

I was so lucky that I grew up on Merrywood farm and experienced first hand a wild, magical childhood, farming with my Dad, building dens and watching nature throughout the seasons.

My children have also followed this path as we also moved back to the farm. Watching a new generation enjoy the land and seeing the opportunities it brings for my own children—combined with my experience in education—spurred me on to want to extend the opportunities the farm brings further.

So in 2018 I combined my passions and I trained as a Forest School leader.

Since then I’ve had the joy of working with a number of amazing children and families at the farm and watching the magic of Forest School unravel.
